Student review
The course itself on a whole was good, some of the lecturers were absolutely amazing, knowledgeable and very supportive and being able yo study around and maintain a home life with family was awesome. I was lucky enough to secure a commonwealth fee subsidy which despite some upfront fees worked for me meaning I didn't end up with a HEC's debt however would work if you are financially able to undertake. I was fortunate enough to get solid placements even through the covid pandemic this unfortunately comes at the cost of not being able to work my normal job which means budgeting to have 2-6 weeks off at any given moment is hard in addition to travel, accommodation and meal costs which is difficult to cover when not working for weeks when I believe there should be a wage given to cover even as a student in nursing wage agreement to make it financially difficult, that is partially the reason people don't stick with the course in addition to the compulsory requirements of vaccinations and third party fot testing, police checks etc. My advice is if you so badly want to do nursing as a career, research, financially plan ahead and be prepared although it is a hard, mentally exhausting and sometime physically tiring it can be one of the most rewarding journeys to care for others and that's what they will remember you for the care you gave to your patients and their families

I felt some of the lectures were more supportive and helpful than others.

Some content to in depth but with little relevance to day to day nursing practice in other cases content too brief. My practical experiences were useful but locality was sometimes an issue. One clinical 1 hour from home another 2 1/2 hours from home which meant accommodation costs and other expenses.
