SEEK Employment & Salary data

SEEK releases the SEEK Employment Report and the SEEK Advertised Salary Index monthly. The intended release dates are outlined below.

As of January 2025, SEEK has updated the data behind the SEEK Employment Index (SEI) in Australia. The data is reflected in the Employment Report from January 2025 onwards and in the updated data set, dating back to 2001, at the link above.

This is a result of a change to the composition of job ads included in the data series that occurred on 31 December 2024. Some job ads that had previously been categorised to be included in the SEI are now excluded. This resulted in a very small decrease in job ad volumes in the SEI and the seasonally adjusted volumes (see below for reference to scale of change). To maintain a comparable trend series we have removed these ads from the entire historical data set. All trends in the reports from January 2025 onwards will be based on the updated data set. Please refer to the above data (updated monthly) as the most current and accurate data.
