- Situation – At my previous job in a busy hospital, I often had to conduct ultrasounds for emergency admissions which required quick and accurate imaging.
- Task – My primary responsibility was to ensure that each ultrasound provided the clearest images possible for accurate diagnosis.
- Action – I consistently adjusted the machine settings based on the specific examination requirements and patient body type. I also took multiple views to capture the best images and frequently consulted with colleagues for a second opinion when I was unsure about the quality of the images.
- Result – As a result, the feedback from radiologists regarding image quality was overwhelmingly positive, helping to expedite patient care.
- Situation – In a previous role, I had a patient who was extremely anxious about medical procedures due to a prior negative experience.
- Task – I had to ensure the patient remained calm and cooperative to complete the ultrasound effectively.
- Action – I spent extra time explaining the process and what to expect, ensuring the patient felt heard and reassured. I provided them with a stress ball and allowed them to have a relative present during the procedure to ease their anxiety.

- Task – I needed to accurately identify and report any signs of cardiac issues like valve problems, heart muscle abnormalities and other pathologies.
