Honestly, the job was good, but the production management lacked serious leadship and communication skills. Seen so many people leave or let go in a very short amount of time
    The good thingsAllocated monthly products
The challengesUnfair treatment from management and HR. They say preach inclusiveness and, progression and open communication, but it's the complete opposite

It's a good experience and a valuable stepping stone to better opportunities, but the business severely lacks strong leadership and fails to focus on their people
The good thingsFriendly colleagues, cool products, decent career ops provided you network well with senior leadership
The challengesPoor leadership & unclear directive/ expectations, lack of boundaries from management to support healthy work life balance, lack of any decent or job-specific onboarding.

    Dealing with a toxic environment.
The good thingsSalary wasn't that bad at Unilever Minto and a good training ground if you want some experience in FMCG.
The challengesUnstable production planning due to poor management combine with toxic environment and the way they put a person in position is a cherry picking style.

Good opportunities for independent hard workers
The good thingsThe company seems to care about their employees. Nice perks and career opportunities.
The challengesSometimes it could be hard to get assistance when required. Had to take on extra roles as entire departments (IT, admin, finance) were located offsite.

    I wouldn't recommend a friend working here.
The good thingsUnilever does have a great flexibility and agile set up. If your role permits, you can work from where ever you want and they have the systems in place to support you. People are youthful and keen to learn and develop.
The challengesStructure - Unilever currently is not set up to win. We are under resourced, people are over worked and burnt out, the outcome of this is the high turnover rate and average engagement. Compensation - salary and benefits are poor vs. competitors. As a business we try and drive engagement through encouraging employees to focus on Unilever's 'purpose'. The problem is trying to see our purpose being lived out in your job is muddy at best. Culture - competitiveness is encouraged within the business. Often this can result in silos and a 'dog eat dog' culture. This is also amplified by the variable pay structure where people are scaled on a bell curve. Location - the HO is now based a long way from the CBD and no where near transport hubs. To get to the office is incredibly difficult.

Working in hell from every corner. From management to your work mate. If for heavy work load if your mate know that they can put load on you they do to save them and management do not care they only do camera analysis.
The good thingsOnly the brand. Camera to show your anxious face.
The challengesChalange from start to end.

Best workplace with work life balance...
The good thingsI am enjoying the freedom of work in planning, doesn’t matter from where I am doing, end of the day results matter. Very good working environment, there are respect and diversity.
The challengesManaging time is sometimes challenging, I think that’s in every workplace. Not every person has good working attitude, sometimes need to be careful about them.

Great place to learn, but prepare to find your own answers.
The good thingsWork life balance is unparalleled. The products are outstanding and there are some good people here.
The challengesThere are too few people doing too many roles. No real progression as roles keep getting removed. A lot of instability and the salary is at the bottom end of the industry.
