What’s it like working at Dental Boutique?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Dental Boutique consistently praise the supportive team culture, noting that colleagues genuinely help each other and collaboration is encouraged across all teams. Many appreciate the genuine opportunities for career growth and development, with hard work being recognised and rewarded. Management is described as approachable and supportive, with open communication and feedback welcomed. Reviewers also highlight the positive and enjoyable work environment with a fun, upbeat culture, as well as the patient-first mindset that makes the work feel meaningful.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. The clinic can be very busy, requiring good organisation and adaptability during peak periods, and workload can be heavy at times with long days and high job responsibilities. A few employees have mentioned that management involvement and on-site leadership support could be more consistent during high-pressure periods. New employees to the dental industry may experience a learning curve initially, and some staff have noted that consistent break times, particularly for dental nurses, could be improved.

they do not care about how you feel or you as a worker
The good thingsOn a positive note, I did meet some genuinely great colleagues, and the dentists themselves are generally easy-going, which helps make the day-to-day somewhat manageable. However, these positives do not outweigh the ongoing issues within the workplace culture and management.
The challengesI would strongly discourage anyone from working here. The workplace culture is deeply concerning, with ongoing persistent negative behaviour, poor leadership, and a clear hierarchy that fosters a cliquey, “pack mentality” among staff. Certain individuals appear to be protected, while inappropriate behaviour is consistently overlooked and not addressed. There is a significant lack of accountability from management, and employee wellbeing particularly mental health does not seem to be a priority. Concerns are either dismissed or ignored, which creates a stressful and, at times, toxic environment to work in.

If your thinking of getting a job in dental, work anywhere else but here.
The good thingsThe only things I enjoyed was the few friends I made there who were actually decent people. And the dentist I worked with who was great and made coming to work bearable.
The challengesThe way staff are treated here is horrible. They are severely over worked with next to no help from “lead” roles. Management don’t want to deal with it and don’t. Higher roles getting given to people who take advantage of it and think they’re better than everyone else. People who are supposed to help you, don’t. Absolutely no point in raising concerns with anyone because nothing gets done about it. They will happily lose good staff than give you a pay rise or fix a common problem. Do. Not. Work. Here. If you value your mental health.

I’ve felt supported, encouraged to grow and comfortable in the role - a positive environment overall
The good thingsThe company’s mission is clear and meaningful, and I’ve learnt a lot since joining. There’s strong support for professional development, with opportunities to grow, build skills and specialise in areas. The team culture is open, supportive, and enjoyable!
The challengesThe main challenge has been stepping into a new industry and learning specific regulations in dentistry. A learning curve initially but support and guidance available make it manageable.
