What’s it like working at Healthcare Australia?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the flexibility of casual employment at Healthcare Australia, along with excellent training through mandatory modules and supportive clinical teams. Many have enjoyed working with friendly and helpful colleagues across departments and value the responsibilities and career development opportunities provided. The pay for casual work is considered good by employees.

However, there are some potential challenges, including limited shift availability and concerns about guaranteed hours, as well as short notice for covering shifts. Some employees have noted a disconnect between advertised flexibility and actual minimum commitment expectations. A high-pressure environment has been mentioned by some, where expectations may not always be matched with adequate support. Additionally, learning various computer systems across different facilities can take time, and some employees feel that salary and professional development allowances could be improved.

Toxic upper management who walk all over their staff
The good thingsThe frontline staff and office staff were great to work with as they understood the pressures of everything and supported the best they could
The challengesUpper management is very toxic and nasty to their employees. Very quick to throw people under the bus to save their own skin. Only thing they care about is the bonus at the end of the year which was evident with the head of regional workforce solutions who wouldn’t approve necessary items deeming them “too expensive” even as far as to neglect WHS legislation and office supplies. As well I found the managers gossip about people behind their backs causing a damage in reputation, instead of communicating any problems directly

    Misleading job advert
The good thingsI had a call to discuss my application so didn't waste my time completing their registration and submitting documents.
The challengesdvertising a job as casual and flexible to suit "your life". You apply and offer to work two shifts a month and they say "we are looking for minimum commitment of 2 shifts per week". In that case please do reflect this expectation in your advert. It's all good to have such expectation but equally can you 100% guarantee your staff that they will receive those shifts if they were reliant on this income to pay their bills?
