On the whole, I would definitely recommend Benevolent as a flexible, fun and rewarding place to work
The good thingsTwo parts I most enjoy (there are others!) - Working in fleet and with hundreds of drivers and vehicles provides lots of opportunities to be innovative and apply outside the box thinking to resolve our internal customer base issues. On a more personal front, our broader directorate-wide team is fairly close knit and show genuine care for each other, this makes me want to show up to work each day and to be there for others.
The challengesLike most not-for-profits, fleet can often be seen as a non-essential service when compared to front line, client facing services. This means that business improvement opportunities can be limited especially when considering available funding, which when compared to other more mature fleets, means that we are required to use systems that are more manual and prone to data related issues which at times can be frustrating.

Constant opportunities to learn, grow and develop. Incredibly proud to work at Benevolent!
The good thingsI love the culture and the values of The Benevolent Society. We work with likeminded people that are doing their very best to improve the lives of others every single day. The complexity of the work keeps it challenging and interesting with regular career opportunities and growth available.
The challengesThe Benevolent Society has grown and changed quickly over the years and there is still some catch up to do with our systems, but teams work hard to deliver and be as innovative as possible.
