    The challengesBig workloads, following several restructures and redundancies and industry changes has put pressure on everyone. A very risk adverse leadership style means slow decision making and very cautious, time consuming processes. The hot desk set up is good for flexibility but makes it really difficult to build connections with colleagues, which impacts a sense of being part of the organisation in a meaningful way and connecting with others.

    The challengesMany staff have huge workloads. There are many processes characterised by very cautious and slow decision-making. This heavily contributes to existing work pressures and significantly slows efficiency. There has been a significant lack of transparency regarding multiple redundancies implemented over the last 2 years or so. Staff and teams not directly affected by the redundancies are often not informed about what is happening, leaving us to guess. This lack of communication means there has been no opportunity to formally recognize the contributions of departing staff or say good bye. This is especially sad given that some of those asked to leave were very long-serving and made outstanding contributions.
